Go-chi | slang and short for "gochisou" | treat or delicious hearty meal
Masahiko Takei, "Masa" has always had passion for cooking traditional Japanese dishes blended with contemporary flavors. After working as a chef for over 15 years in the Bay Area, he finally saw his dream come true in October, 2005 with the opening of Gochi, Cupertino.
The menu offers a large variety of a la carte dishes that are not considered common entrées. We encourage you to order several different items and share family style. Dishes are usually made to pair with our extensive selection of beverages including sake & shochu.
The interior of the restaurant all started with a quick pencil sketch by Masa himself. The actual construction took over 6 months. The restaurant staff also participated in painting, flooring and other decoration process. Gochi is truly one of a kind.
